Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated September 1, 2026
The short version: We use your resume and preferences to find and rank job links. Finding or displaying a job does not send your identity, resume, or profile to an employer. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
1. Scope and who we are
This policy explains how ApplyMyResume, a Renaissance Apps service, handles personal information when you use applymyresume.com and related services. The Service is intended for people seeking work in the United States.
2. Information we collect
- Account information, such as your email address and sign-in information.
- Career information, such as the job titles, experience summary, career stage, and locations prepared from a resume for your review.
- Search preferences, including desired roles, locations, work arrangements, compensation preferences, seniority, work eligibility, and companies to prioritize or avoid.
- Employer information, including company details, job links, billing status, and aggregate engagement with sponsored jobs.
- Usage and device information, such as browser type, pages used, dates, diagnostics, and security logs.
Please do not upload Social Security numbers, financial information, government IDs, passwords, or other information the Service does not request.
3. How we use information
- create and secure your account;
- process your resume and suggest relevant job titles;
- build job searches from your saved preferences across trusted sources;
- verify current direct employer job links and rank them for you;
- avoid repeating links you have already seen;
- produce aggregated insights about the roles, U.S. markets, and work arrangements people search for;
- support, secure, and improve the Service; and
- comply with law and protect users and the public.
4. Automated processing and AI
We use automated systems and artificial intelligence to understand resumes, compare jobs with saved preferences, verify links, and explain why a role may fit. Relevant content may be processed by cloud and AI providers acting for us. These systems can make mistakes, and job matches are not employment, legal, immigration, or financial advice.
5. When we disclose information
Service providers may process information for hosting, storage, authentication, AI processing, security, analytics, payments, and support under their agreements with us. Stripe processes employer payment information under its own privacy policy; we receive billing identifiers and status, not full card details. We may also disclose information when legally required, to protect rights or safety, in a business transaction, or when you direct us to.
Finding or displaying a job does not give an employer your identity, resume, profile, or individual activity. For each sponsored job, employers receive counts showing how often that opening was recommended and how often its job page was visited. We may also publish aggregate candidate-demand counts, such as popular role groups, job titles, U.S. markets, and work arrangements. These reports never include individual profiles or contact details.
6. Job applications and third parties
Google, employers, career sites, applicant tracking systems, and application providers are independent third parties. Their terms and privacy policies apply when you open their pages or choose to provide information to them. We screen job links for a direct application path that does not require a separate account, but third-party pages can change after we check them. ApplyMyResume does not complete or submit applications for you.
7. Google Analytics
If you choose “Allow analytics,” we use Google Analytics to understand anonymous visits and feature use. We do not send Google your name, email, resume or profile contents, job details, sign-in link parameters, or a user ID. We have also disabled advertising signals and ad-personalization signals in our Google tag.
Analytics collection does not start until you allow it. You can change your choice at any time using “Analytics choices” in the footer. If you turn analytics off, we stop sending events and remove available Google Analytics cookies for this site. Google may process analytics information under its own privacy policy.
Candidate-demand reporting and the public Trends page are separate from Google Analytics. When a signed-in account starts a job search, we store a limited analytics snapshot containing normalized desired roles, job titles, U.S. markets, and work arrangements plus the search time. It excludes contact details, resume contents, compensation, citizenship and work-authorization details, and demographic information. Public Trends reports contain aggregate counts and never include individual profiles or contact details.
8. Retention and deletion
Your uploaded resume file is processed to prepare career and search fields for your review. The raw resume file is not stored after that analysis. We retain the structured fields you save with your profile until you change them or delete your account.
Cleared and dismissed job records are reduced to small private history entries so the same opening is not shown again. Completed search records expire automatically. Candidate-demand snapshots expire after up to three years and are removed with the associated account. Limited copies may remain temporarily in protected backups or where retention is legally required.
9. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your choices and rights
You can update your resume and preferences, stop an active search, change your analytics choice, and delete your account. Depending on your state, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information we control. Contact team@renaissanceapps.com to make a request.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the Service changes and will provide additional notice when required. Questions, privacy requests, or support: team@renaissanceapps.com.
